Teresa Malice
Conny Kristel Fellow (03/2026)

Teresa Malice is a post-doc research assistant at Bielefeld University. In her second book project, she analyses the relationship between gender, antisemitism, and fascism in three European societies – Germany, Austria, and Italy – from the 1920s to the 1940s, through diaries authored by both Jewish and non-Jewish women.
As a Conny Kristel Fellow (EHRI-ERIC), she will focus on the Austrian side of her project. Teresa Malice's Italian-German PhD (Universities of Bologna and Bielefeld) focused on Cold War transnational communist practices and was published in 2023 (Transnational Imagination of Socialism. Town Twinning and Local Government in “Red” Italy and the GDR).
Teresa Malice studied at the University of Bologna (2008–2013) and the Humboldt University Berlin (2012) and has been a research fellow at Aarhus University (2018) and at the Center for Holocaust Studies in Munich (2021).
