VWI-Research Fellow Alexander Korb wird am 23. März 2014 im Rahmen der Konferenz La Shoah en Europe du Sud-Est 1941-1945 der "Mémorial de la Shoah" in Paris einen Vortrag mit dem Titel The Ustaša's Mass Violence against the Serbs, Jews, and Roma in Croatia, 1941–1945 halten.

Éva Kovács presenting at Florida Gulf Coast University
On March 18th, the Research Program Director of the VWI, Éva Kovács will give a talk at the conference "The Holocaust in Hungary, 70 Years On: New Perspectives Author Biographies" organized by the Center for Judaic, Holocaust & Genocide Studies of the Florida Gulf Coast University. Title of the lecture is "Timing History – A Hungarian 'Historikerstreit' in 2012".

The Aquila Polonica Prize 2013 goes to the VWI Research Fellow Katherine Lebow
The biennial Aquila Polonica Prize is given to the author of the best English-language article published during the previous two years on any aspect of Polish studies. The award carries a $500 honorarium (thanks to the generous support of Aquila Polonica Publishing, which specializes in publishing the Polish experience of World War II), and is announced at the National Convention of the Association for Slavic, Eurasian, and East European Studies.
