Anton Pelinka, Univ.-Prof. Dr., Professor of Political Science and Nationalism Studies, Central European University, Budapest (since 2006), Director, Institute of Conflict Research, Vienna (since 1990).
Born 1941 in Vienna, Studies in Law (University of Vienna - Doctor of Law 1964) and Political Science (Institute for Advanced Studies and Scientific Research, Vienna). 1968-1971 Research Assistant at the Institute for Advanced Studies and Scientific Research (Department of Political Science), 1971-1973 Assistant Professor for Political Science at the University of Salzburg, 1972 Habilitation (venia legendi) for Political Science at the University of Salzburg, 1973-1974 Associate Professor for Political Science at the University of Essen, 1974-1975 Full Professor for Political Science at the Pedagogical College of Berlin (West), 1975-2006 Full Professor for Political Science at the University of Innsbruck, 2004-2006 Dean of the School of Political Science and Sociology, University of Innsbruck.
Visiting Professorships and Fellowships at Nehru University, New Delhi; University of New Orleans, Harvard University; Collegium Budapest; Stanford University; University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and Université Libre, Brussels.
